In addition, a week before the good night, the Ecuadorians put the Christmas tree, also  they lay next to the Christmas tree, the manger, some adorn their houses with Christmas lights or reindeer on their terraces. The Ecuadorians in Christmas time make the children's pass, which consists of making a parade through the streets, dressed as peasants, Jesus, Maria and Jose.   Although they do not have a specific dance in those times, they play any kind of music and dance happily. When the good night arrives they dress formally, they usually go to mass and when they return they eat the usual, the Christmas table can have rice with chicken or turkey, wine, juices and bread with raisins. Buñuelos are characteristic of this era.

Christmas, usually called by the Norwegians "jul" really dates from a time long before the Christianization of the country. The time before Christmas is a perfect time of the year to socialize, and many restaurants serve typical Christmas dishes from Norway, usually made with ingredients from the region.
